Joe Cook - Evansville Vaudeville Juggling Star

Joe Cook was born in Evansville and was one of the biggest vaudeville stars of the 1920s and 1930s. The films of him juggling 5 clubs and bounce juggling 5 balls are the earliest existing examples of those tricks. The Museum of Juggling History owns several props of Joe Cook, some of which will be present. We will discuss Joe’s career, show off props he used and owned, and show video and photos of him juggling. (This would be a great opportunity for local press to cover a “local” story and to promote the IJA Festival at the same time).
